I trust that you and your youth group have experienced a fruitful summer filled with service and spiritual growth. But as sure as the “Back to School Sale” signs appear in nearly every storefront, summer is quickly fading into fall. This fall brings us to the 10th Annual Missouri Harvest Rally on Saturday, September 26. I am excited about this event and hope that your youth group can participate.
Harvest Teen Rally will again set the backdrop for an exciting day for your youth group. Along with over 40 different types of carnival games, there will be a volleyball tournament with trophies for the winning teams. We also plan to have a car smash, a slam-dunk contest, and several other exciting games. Harvest Teen Rally annually hosts more than 8,000 teens in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Missouri.
The fun, however, is simply the means to bring your youth under the sound of God’s Word. This year Eric Newton will be our special speaker. Eric is the Assistant Dean of Students at Bob Jones University and has a passion to see teens grow into Christ-like maturity. I can assure you that not only will lost teens hear a clear gospel presentation but Christian teens will also receive biblical exhortation relevant to their unique needs. Three times throughout the day we will gather under the gigantic tent for both fun and sacred songs and biblical preaching. If you want to see what the event looks like, click on the link below to watch the video.
The cost for the event is $15 per teen (lunch included). We desire, however, that every unsaved or unchurched teen who wants to attend come for free. Simply contact us for these complementary tickets. To the right you will find links to medical release forms for you to copy and distribute to your teens, rules for the volleyball tournament, registration forms, and a schedule for the day’s events. Teens under 18 must have parental permission and signed medical release forms in order to participate.
Please plan to bring your teens to the Kansas City Harvest Rally on September 26. My burden is to see unsaved young people come to know Christ and for Christian teens to grow in grace.
