Dan grew up in a Christian home while Lyn’s upbringing was without much religious influence. Dan was saved as a teen; Lyn was saved at a VBS when she was in the sixth grade but did not grow in the Lord. They met in college and were married Dan’s senior year. Work in the oil field led them to a small town in New Mexico where they attended a good church and began to grow for the first time in their lives. A transfer to Tulsa brought them farther along as the Lord was leading them into full-time Christian service. In a missions conference in 1987, they surrendered to the Lord’s call. A survey trip to Romania later led them to their mission field.
