GREETINGS FROM THE PASTORAL STAFF
HOW CAN WE HELP YOU?

We would be delighted to welcome you for a service sometime and have the privilege of introducing ourselves and answering any questions you might have. We want to tell people about our mission to the community and beyond. Our staff always counts it a blessing to meet the folks in our community.

This page will help you know what to anticipate when arriving at our facility for the very first time. We welcome the opportunity to introduce ourselves and minister to you and to your family.

God bless.

OUR DESIRE FOR YOU

Welcome to our church website. It’s always a joy to meet new friends and invite them to worship together with our family. This page gives some useful information to help you familiarize yourself with what to expect if you visit. Our mission is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ through faith in His atoning sacrifice and trust in His finished work on the cross.

We would like to help you with your next step in following the Lord Jesus Christ. Whoever saves his life will ultimately lose it. Isn’t it time for you to discover the full life that God has for you. Can you follow the Lord by staying where you are? Would you allow us to help you?

WHAT TO EXPECT

Finding Your Way Around

When you come for the first time, drive into the parking lot from either drive and turn inward towards the church. The “front” doors are actually on the “back” of the church building. There are parking spots reserved just for you adjacent to the front doors

Walk to the front door where you will be met by one of our members who will welcome you and bring you inside to meet with some of our people at the welcome center who can assist you with any questions and direct you to the place or people you are looking for.

Our ushers can help you to find a seat that is comfortable for you and your needs. We have some reserved seating for guests, designated seating for parents with infants and small children, and special accommodations for those with special needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the most important thing you teach?

We teach that Jesus Christ the Son of God is the need of every man and woman, and that the gospel is the answer to that need, not just to save us from the punishment that we deserve, but to redeem us from our sinful practices as we wait for the return of our Lord from heaven.

What do you believe about the Bible?

We believe that the Bible is the word of God, breathed out by God, recorded by His apostles and prophets, inerrant and infallible in the autographs, complete in the sixty-six books, preserved for all ages in a multitude of manuscripts, texts, and translations, and the source of all faith and practice.

What is your “denominational title”?

We are a Baptist church and practice the common baptist distinctive. We believe in the unity of all believers that centers in the essential truths of God’s word. He sanctifies us through His truth; His word is truth.

What Does God Require of Man?

The answer to that question is the quest of the ages. In essence it really is two answers.

First, God requires your absolute perfection and perfect obedience for your entire life. You really didn’t want to hear that, did you? But that is what God demands: sinless perfection.

The problem is that we are all sinful and have all fallen short of His demands. That failure is called sin and it is no small thing. It demands the penalty of death. But there is “good news.”

The gospel or “good news” teaches us that God loves us so much that He planned another way by which we could approach Him. And that way we call “faith” – not intellectual assent, but repentant submissive trust. We trust that the Father sent His Son to live the life of perfect obedience He demands, and then to voluntarily give His own life to pay for the death we have deserved. That is why it is called “good news” – we do not get what we deserve; instead, we get what we don’t deserve: the reward for Jesus’ perfect obedience, earned not by us, but by our sinless substitute. The spotless lamb of God slain from the foundation of the world.

So how do we approach God? Either by trying to present our own “perfection” or by trusting God to receive the gift of perfection provided in His gift of His own Son.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

Anything that dims my vision of Christ, or takes away my taste for
Bible study, or cramps me in my prayer life, or makes Christian work
difficult, is wrong for me and I must, as a Christian, turn away from it.
