dress

At Tri-City Baptist Church, we want you to come. The majority of our members feel comfortable in business-casual dress, but you are welcome to come to our services in what makes you comfortable.

NURSERY AND CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

Our infant through 5-year-old classes are located near the lobby in hallways adjacent to the auditorium. If you have a child in one of these classes, we use text messaging to communicate if needed. Our younger elementary children begin in the auditorium during the worship service and are dismissed to Children’s Church prior to the sermon for families who would like to participate. If you have any questions, one of our pastors or deacons will be available to assist.

SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE

Our weekly worship service begins at 9:30 a.m. and is about an hour and a 1/2 long. Our music is a blend of ancient and modern hymnody, and our choir and orchestra support our congregation in worship. This inter-generational service focuses on corporate prayer, congregational singing, and expository preaching. Our service is also marked by Scripture reading and prayer. We partake of the Lord’s Supper once a month and hold baptismal services as needed throughout the year.

The largest portion of our service is devoted to teaching the Bible. Our sermons are generally 45 minutes and focus on an explanation of a particular Bible passage. At the conclusion of our service, we sing a song that helps us to appropriately respond to what we have heard in the teaching. Pastors and trained deacons are available to meet with you following the service.

ADULT BIBLE CLASSES & CHILDREN'S SUNDAY SCHOOL

After the worship service, we have Bible study classes available for all ages from 11:15 until noon. We set aside time for coffee and fellowship, which allows ample time to find the best classes for your family and to connect with some of our members. A brochure describing the available classes and their locations is available on the information table in the lobby. You will notice that adults have many options, so we encourage you to talk to one of our members about which one might be right for you and your family members.

SUNDAY EVENING GATHERING

From 6:00-6:30 pm, we encourage everyone to gather in the auditorium for singing and topical biblical instruction. Our children join with adults in accompanying our worship with various instruments. This time is intentionally set aside for the corporate discipleship of our church body.

From 6:30-7:15 pm, we divide into various discipleship ministries. Our children and teens gather with their mentors in their respective group settings. Some of our adults choose to be involved in small group discipleship while others prefer the lecture-based doctrinal teaching in the auditorium.

WEDNESDAY EVENING PRAYER MEETING

From 7:00-8:00 pm, we gather for an inter-generational prayer meeting. After one song and a short Scripture reading, we divide up into small groups and use our prayer sheet, listing the needs of our members and supported missionaries, to encourage us to intentional prayer.
